Au revoir, 2011

I know it’s a little late to post reflections on the end of last year and the beginning of this year, but I’m doing it anyway. 2011 was a tough year, to say the least, but I’d have to say that in the final analysis it was a good one. A new town. A new job. A new start. I don’t think any time of my life has stretched me, challenged me, or toughened me up like the last two years have. This last year has been an education in the virtue of sheer cussedness, and, if nothing else, I am thankful for that.

Anyways, one of the fun things about my new digs is my chalkboard wall, which I erased a few weeks back to give us a clean slate, as it were, for 2012. Here’s the collaborative art that emerged from my visitors in the final months of 2011:

My favorite part is the bottom where the munchkins...umm...dabbled in impressionism, I guess?
